Mountain Resorts & Industry Partners...

Welcome to The. Pipeline Project:
Building Your Future Workforce

The. Pipeline Project is designed to help mountain resorts and industry partners connect with the next generation of skilled workers. We promote key technical roles in the industry—such as lift mechanics, snowmakers, and snow groomers—through unique work study opportunities for high school CTE students, guest presentations at schools, attend job fairs, and provide educational STEM-based curriculum through our Career Readiness Kits introducing them to the exciting careers available in the ski industry.

Check Out The Career Tech. Ed Programs That Match Our Industry Careers

Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs provide students with hands-on, practical learning over a two-year period, equipping them with versatile skills that can be applied to a wide range of industries, including the ski industry. Students gain valuable knowledge in areas like mechanics, engineering, and hospitality, which are essential for roles such as lift maintenance, snowmaking, and resort management. Through experiential learning and industry partnerships, CTE students develop skills that prepare them for successful careers in the ski industry and beyond.  Check out the examples below of CTE programs that align with mount resort careers.

And many more!

How The. Pipeline Works

We partner with mountain resorts and industry leaders to identify, nurture, and inspire the next generation of mountain resort professionals through engaging school programs, hands-on challenges, career readiness kits,  school presentations, and youth development workforce initiatives.  All students who participate in our events will receive a Certificate of Attendance or Completion to help resorts and industry partners easily identify students who have participated in The. Pipeline Project activities.

2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR PIPELINE COMPETITION SERIES
SKI CAREER EXPLORATION

The. Pipeline Project is organizing the first-ever ski career exploration competition series!  With 28 CTE centers in New Hampshire, (and over 30 CTE centers in Maine and Vermont total) we are currently securing resort partners willing to host in specific regions throughout the state.  Our goal is to attract up to 200 students to attend one of the four days.  During the event students will learn and meet ski professionals while showcasing their CTE knowledge in mock job interviews.  We also plan on having a special guest (TBA) to host an exciting game-show activity during our networking lunch and before our awards ceremony!  â€‹

As we secure our partner resort locations, we would be thrilled to have sponsors to help us run this event.  If you are interested in becoming a sponsor, please contact Tiffany Whitcomb.

IRC PILOT PROGRAM

The. Pipeline Project provides ski resorts with access to a motivated talent pool of CTE students prepared for success in the ski industry. Our certified teacher-led industry recognized credentialing (IRC) program offers students the ability to take a variety of industry courses making them valuable candidates for essential roles at ski resorts.  Special thanks to our IRC partners: â€‹
